Latchingdon, Althorne & Mundon Horticultural Show 1893

The 2nd Annual Show of the Latchingdon, Althorne and Mundon Horticultural Society was held at Latchingdon on Wednesday 26 July 1893.

Organisers were Edwin Pittman ( Secretary), Mr E Larter ( Treasurer) and  Mr Laver ( Showground Land Owner).

Judges were Mr E Cliffe FRHS, John Reynolds, Mrs Pittman and Mr A E Larter.

Entertainment was by Maldon Brass Band with a rural Sports to accompany the show.

Mrs Formby organised a display of needlework by Latchingdon Working Party.

Refreshments were provided by Mr Sadler of the Latchingdon Lion Public House.

Visitors included Major General Hamilton and Mr Sanders.
